Lenny St. is a bright, purpose-built cafe located right on Kennedy Highway in Tolga, offering a modern, casual spot to settle in for breakfast or lunch. With a clean, fresh interior and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s the kind of place where locals might stop by to catch up over well-crafted coffee or enjoy a laid-back weekend brunch.

The cafe’s menu leans into diverse, contemporary Australian fare with a creative twist, featuring items like buttermilk fried chicken, salmon and soba noodle salad, and Mexican beef brisket eggs benedict. This variety makes it easy to find something that suits different tastes — whether you want something hearty or lighter. The presence of house-made gluten-free and sourdough breads reflects an attention to quality and detail that adds to the appeal.

Coffee here is a noted highlight, consistently praised for its care and good flavour, alongside thoughtfully prepared teas served from loose leaves rather than bags — a small detail that local tea drinkers will appreciate. The smoothie selection offers fresh, well-balanced options, like the mango and passionfruit smoothie, contributing to the relaxed, easygoing vibe of the place.

The team at Lenny St. clearly values speed and efficiency without compromising quality, with food arriving quickly to the table, making it a convenient stop for busy mornings. Those seeking a comfortable space for a casual catch-up will find the setting homely and inviting, with a clean and modern interior that doesn’t feel rushed.

We had an amazing breakfast. It has good service, good value and in a nice place. Second time we've been here this year and both times were amazing.

New owners with French Chef's. Food is presented beautifully with lots of flavour. Gluten free bread homemade thick and sour dough like. Lovely staff. Menu just one page with great choices. Highly recommend. Coffee is very good...hubby tells me. Teas are leaf not teabags!

This place is amazing! We just had drinks, but they really impressive . The presentation was amazing — everything looked so fresh and beautiful. The mango smoothie was perfectly blended, super refreshing, and full of flavor. The cafe itself is brand new and modern, with a cool, welcoming vibe. The atmosphere is fantastic — it’s a great spot to relax or hang out. Definitely planning to come back and try more. Highly recommend!

We’ve dropped in here for both lunch and breakfast on two consecutive days. It’s been a mostly positive experience, however it’s a shame because it has the potential to have been great. The food has been good, not outstanding but I’d eat here again, it’s a solid option for the area. The coffee has been really good on both occasions. The place itself is really well fitted out, looks like a brand new venue and the design has been done well. The service is where it falls down, although not all of the service. The place is clearly being propped up by two or three key members of staff, who are doing the lions share of the responsibilities. The head chef looks to be working pretty hard, as does the barista and one of the wait staff (young tanned girl). The rest of the staff look pretty lost. It’s only small things, that could instantly change the vibe of the place if they were rectified. You’ve got an open kitchen, which could be a positive feature provided the happenings were interesting to watch, and were of a professional calibre. Instead, what we can see is one kid with his earphones in, another confused looking fella with a bright blue sports top on, and a young girl huffing and shrugging her shoulders like everything’s a chore. It takes the positive shine away from the rest of the business which is otherwise polished and professional looking. Sack the underperforming staff, pay good wages to some experienced guns and you’ve got a great venue which would likely be full on a Sunday morning, rather than mostly empty as it is right now.

Excellent cafe in Tolga with a purpose-built cafe fitout which looks top notch and feels homely and comfortable. My friends and I came here 2 mornings in a row for breakfast, and both mornings enjoyed great food, and great coffee. The menu is innovative and varied across lots of cultures, and feels like a modern Australian cafe menu. Food is very very fast to the table! This impressed us especially because there were 6 of us. Our favourite dishes were the brisket eggs, and the buttermilk chicken. Can’t wait to come again and try more of the menu.
